Brianne Dotson

Facilitator & Coach

Brianne Dotson is a Facilitator and Coach at Lead For Liberation. For over 20 years, Brianne has led teams to successful outcomes in instructional leadership, organizational effectiveness, project management, and teacher development. Currently, Brianne supports leaders in reimagining, revising, and rebuilding systems and structures that facilitate sustainable and equitable outcomes in schools, districts, and organizations through her work at BMD Education Consulting Group.


Prior to founding BMD, Brianne served as the Director of Organizational Impact at TeachingWorks at the University of Michigan. In that position, she led a cross-functional team that supported teachers and teacher educators across the country in disrupting racism and advancing equity through skillful instruction. Brianne also served as a middle school English language arts teacher, an elementary school principal, and a leadership coach.


Brianne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Spanish from the University of Southern California, a Master’s of Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and is pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University. When Brianne is not working, she enjoys listening to live music, enjoying the company of family and friends, and seeing the world through the eyes of her two amazing daughters.
